Choosing the right dorm bedding is one of the more simple tasks on the list of things to do to prepare for the new school year, but it can be an important one. Dorm bedding should be fashionable, inexpensive, and comfortable.

Dorm bedding comes in a wide variety of colors and styles so as to be able to suite needs of any college student. Sometimes, you will be able to find dorm bedding branded with sports logos, and other licensed logos and characters. Generally though, you will find most dorm bedding in solid colors and standard patterns. Around Back to School season is the best time to go shopping for  dorm bedding because you will find most of these items on sale.

A tricky part to dorm bedding is making sure you know the bed size in the dorm. Some schools use regular twins, while others use extra long twins. Knowing this ahead of time will ensure you choose the correct dorm bedding from the get go. It may be a good idea to get two sets of dorm bedding so your student can wash one and use one. If you plan on getting two sets of bedding, you may want to consider getting a flannel set for the student to use in the winter to make sure they stay warm. Make sure you take your student shopping with you so you can get something the student is sure to like. Remember the dorm room will be small, so it is important to maximize with other décor.
